PICTURES OF MY FEET BEFORE THE SURGERY!! --->>>
I arrived at the hospital an hour before the surgery to fill out paper work and take a urine test to check for pregnancy. I was nervous for what was to come in a couple of minutes but I tried to keep positive. To my delight, my doctor arrived at 7:30. He did an amazing job at calming me down and making sure I was okay. He was accommodating, resourceful and patient. I love him...
Enough about my doctor....
After the urine test came back, negative of course, I put on my gown and the paperwork was filled out. They then preceded to wipe my feet with this special warm cloth and also labeled my foot. I think it is important to add that I only did the right foot first, second and third toe.
The nurse took my temperature and blood pressure and then stuck the IV needle in my vein. OUCH! I swear that some people are just not light handed enough to do that. They then walked me over to the operating room, operating room number 1. Oh man, this is when I really got nervous. Seeing all the utensils and bed in the middle of a room full of tools and things that look like mechanics to fix a car was pretty darn scary. I tried not to look around too much, prayed that everything had been sterilized before I even got there and laid on the bed as asked of me. They immediately put something in my IV to relax me.
I started to feel the room moving and my tense body began to loosen. Before I knew it I was sleeping like a toddler, not a newborn because they barely sleep. 20 minutes later...YES! 20 MINUTES later, I woke up and everything was done. The doctor was just wrapping my foot. Although I was only asleep for 20 minutes, I felt so well rested and energized. It was the best sleep I've ever had in my life. I had no pain on my feet and was told to walk on my heel with partial weight on that foot.
I hopped in the car and went home.
